How it works

From a site we have never seen to an asset we own and run.

ChargeServe assesses, funds, owns, operates and maintains commercial clean-energy assets. The process is designed to make the technical, commercial and ownership responsibilities clear before work starts.

The model

The same ownership logic runs through every asset.

01

ChargeServe funds and owns

ChargeServe puts up the capital and owns the asset for the life of the agreement.

02

BuildPilot helps deliver

UK installations are delivered through BuildPilot’s vetted-installer platform and delivery standard.

03

The host buys the output

The host pays for power or charging output at agreed rates, without owning the asset.

The important distinction is ownership. ChargeServe owns the asset. The host buys the output. UK delivery is supported by BuildPilot’s vetted-installer standard.

Lifecycle

The full process, end to end.

The model only works if the site, the agreement and the delivery route are all clear. The sequence below is the working structure.

  1. 1

    Site assessment

ChargeServe checks the roof or car park, electrical position, demand profile, access, tenure and commercial fit.

  2. 2

    Proposal and agreement

The site-specific structure is defined, whether that is a PPA, roof arrangement, EV hosting agreement or co-ownership route.

  3. 3

    Design and consents

The system is designed around the site, with planning, landlord, lease or DNO steps handled where needed.

  4. 4

    Group-delivered installation

UK installations are delivered through BuildPilot's vetted-installer platform and delivery standard.

  5. 5

    Commissioning

The asset goes live and the host starts receiving the agreed output from the system.

  6. 6

    Ownership and maintenance

ChargeServe owns, insures, monitors and maintains the asset for the agreement term.

  7. 7

    End of term

The agreement sets out whether the asset is renewed, extended, purchased, removed or otherwise dealt with.

Risk allocation

The model is built around clear responsibility.

ChargeServe owns the asset, so the ownership duties sit with ChargeServe. The host keeps the site obligations needed for the asset to operate.

ChargeServe carries

  • Asset capital and ownership.
  • Procurement and delivery route.
  • Monitoring, maintenance and insurance.
  • Long-term asset performance responsibility.

The host carries

  • Providing accurate site information.
  • Allowing agreed access.
  • Paying for agreed output or hosting terms.
  • Keeping consent and site-control obligations clear.
